The ESB 9000 Series (Novemila) speakers proudly claim the high-end segment and are among the most technologically advanced car speakers ever made. And also the most elegant! Technology and design come together in a new and unusual aesthetic thanks to the exceptional flower shape around the tweeter membrane and also on the woofer and midrange speaker baskets. However, this luxurious design was not created solely from an aesthetic point of view. It is an expression of innovation that allows the acoustic refraction at the edges of the tweeters to be less pronounced and adapts to the speaker design. An analogy can be found in the new Rolls-Royce engines for the most modern aircraft, which have the same shape at the trailing edge. Exactly where the air exits and the main turbulence is created. With the new design, these engines have achieved great advantages such as a 10 dB reduction in cabin noise and a 10% reduction in fuel consumption. However, this is not just a coincidental similarity. The design of both the ESB high-end speakers and the Rolls-Royce engines is based on the same premise: to reduce unwanted sound characteristics at the edges of the speakers and engines, respectively, and to effectively direct the airflow outward. However, this is just one of the many exclusive technologies that you will find in the 9000 model series. It includes a total of six top-of-the-line individual components, two 2-way component systems and three 3-way systems, which will amaze not only with their sound, but also with their unconventional luxury design and exceptional materials.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
ESB Audio 9.4M represent the more advanced of the two variants of the 9000 series midrange speakers. The individual models differ in the diameter of the diaphragm and several other parameters and technologies, but on the other hand, they have many technological and design solutions in common. At first glance, you will be impressed by the design of the midrange speaker, led by a carbon diaphragm, a beautiful basket in a floral design and an optional grille made of CNC-machined aluminum. The diaphragm is made of vacuum and autoclave-pressed high-strength carbon. There is perhaps no more ideal combination of lightness and rigidity for balancing diaphragm deflections at low and very high frequencies. This technology is rarely used in speakers due to its price, but it brings huge advantages in terms of natural reproduction and high dynamics during transients. The diaphragm includes a laminated aluminum dust cap, which helps to extend the frequency response of this midrange speaker upwards, and its shape and size help to balance and linearize the frequency response. The NBL rubber suspension is shaped to provide a very smooth, low-yaw movement that becomes increasingly controlled as it approaches the limit. This also contributes to the speaker being extremely dynamic and capable of handling high power. Also worth mentioning is the powder-coated cast aluminum speaker basket, which offers very little resistance to air flow and its shape reduces vibration and resonance. The pair of large neodymium magnets is resistant to high temperatures and represents one of the most powerful magnet systems for a midrange speaker of this size. The magnets provide enormous magnetic force even after hours of playing and generate incredible driving force for perfect coil control, high transient response speed and allows the size and volume of the magnetic motor to be significantly reduced. The exclusive technologies of the 9000 series speakers include the TCA system. This controls the flow of air moving through the diaphragm and creates aperiodic damping resistance. This means that the energy stored in the diaphragm’s movement is released in a controlled and rapid manner, without creating any permanent oscillations. This contributes to a more accurate and faithful response to the sound source, and to the accuracy and overall quality of the experience. A copper ring placed in the air gap helps reduce the inductance of the voice coil, so that it offers minimal resistance at high frequencies. This means better high-frequency response, which allows the speaker to reproduce high-frequency sounds more accurately. The reduction in inductance helps to better handle rapid transients in audio signals, which can improve the speaker’s ability to reproduce transient sound impulses more accurately.
