The ESB 3000 Series (Tremila) speaker system has been developed and assembled with great dedication to research into materials and top-level technical solutions. The aim was to create a complete range of speakers and subwoofers with a focus on high sound quality and versatile installation. The speaker baskets have been designed to achieve maximum torsional rigidity. The pressed paper membrane with a waterproof finish is the best combination of lightness, rigidity and the membrane’s ability to dampen any unwanted vibrations. All mid-woofers are equipped with a Y-35 class ferrite magnet motor, with significantly higher power than classic “standard” ferrite magnets. The tweeters are made of a thin fabric membrane impregnated with silk for a very soft and natural sound. The voice coil has excellent ventilation with anti-resonance chambers and is damped with a special liquid iron-based oil. The set includes tweeters, midrange and bass speakers without crossovers, which can be purchased separately.

It is widely known that membranes made of paper are the best combination of lightness, rigidity and the ability of the cone to dampen any unwanted vibrations and distortions. Paper is a popular material for its excellent sound properties and is waterproof thanks to a polymer developed exclusively by ESB. The treatment does not change the appearance and parameters of the speaker like glossy polymers, which add a significant amount of mass to the membrane itself and significantly modify the sound result. The ESB treatment protects the membrane from moisture and dripping water, as well as from accidental splashes on the front of the membrane. The perbunan rubber of the hinge provides the dual function of high damping and excellent lateral stability. This means that the membrane is “forced” to move only vertically, eliminating lateral movements that could cause contact with the coil and magnet. The 25 mm woofer voice coil uses an aluminum carrier and winding with double-layer copper wire technology with an aluminum core. The ABS plastic basket reinforced with glass fiber was designed to obtain maximum torsional rigidity, but at the same time offer minimal resistance to the passage of air expelled by the membrane from its back. This is clearly visible from the numerous reinforcements and ribs. The basket and its rigidity play a crucial role in balancing the voice coil in the magnetic circuit. An equally important factor is the damping of this component, since metal baskets often tend to resonate and this significantly changes the resulting sound result of the speaker. The material used, in addition to being less sensitive to thermal changes, is non-flammable and, above all, completely resistant to resonances. The ABS plastic basket also allows for better clamping torque than typical pressed steel frames and ensures that the voice coil remains well centered in the magnetic field. The speakers are equipped with a Y-35 class ferrite magnet motor with significantly higher power than classic “standard” ferrite magnets, which ensures easier control of the power applied to the speaker and also its excellent efficiency. The metal parts of the motor use low carbon steel and have been designed to achieve maximum magnetic saturation. This guarantees the best electro-acoustic parameters, as the eddy currents generated by the movement of the diaphragm are largely suppressed.

ESB Audio 3000 Series Tweeters

The 3000 Series tweeters are made from an exclusive non-woven PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) fabric with high-performance fiber Torcon®, which has excellent thermal resistance, low weight, excellent self-damping and resonant frequency response above the audible range. The outer suspension is made of the same material, but is additionally covered with a high-loss damping material to eliminate vibrations and resonances. The result is a very smooth and transparent tweeter sound with maximum detail. The 28 mm voice coil has an aluminum support and a very light aluminum wire coated with copper. The coil has excellent ventilation with anti-resonance chambers and is damped with a special liquid iron-based oil. The special SVS (Surround Vented System) ventilation design provides optimal cooling to handle high power and avoid air compression at the back of the diaphragm with great distortion reduction. High-quality neodymium magnets, such as N-42, are optimized through computer simulations to achieve better efficiency and improved linearity to provide greater and better power management and increase bandwidth and efficiency. 25mm tweeters are also available for the 3000 series, as well as a unique UMA unit that includes both a tweeter and a midrange driver. This special and exclusive component driver is a concept born back in the 1970s and aims to concentrate the midrange and tweeters into a single virtual point. This minimizes phase delays and irregularities at the crossover point. The speaker consists of a 1.1″ / 28mm tweeter and a 3.65 midrange driver with a different dust cover to have a midrange function (not full-range) and not to interfere with the tweeter frequencies.
